The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) provides analytical and consulting to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base by delivering critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies, and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of policy implementation to support the U.S. Government's priorities of ensuring a resilient industrial base for strengthening national security.

SPA has a near-term need for a Microelectronics Management Analyst for full-time, onsite support at the Pentagon or the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

ISAG seeks a Microelectronics Management Analyst to provide support to the CHIPS Coordination Cell (C3). The candidate will apply strategy and DoD acquisition experience to assist C3's mission to securing the U.S. domestic microelectronics innovation and supply chain as well as developing a strong foundation for the next generation of microelectronics technology. The candidate will support OUSD(A&S) with developing and managing execution of a microelectronics strategy and to drive new microelectronics technologies in ways that convince American industry to invest in them. The candidate will assist in developing plans and implementation strategy for a "secure enclave" of microchip production to deliver safely and securely for DoD programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • JCIDS experience working with the DoD acquisition and requirements process
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

Desired Qualifications:

  • DAWIA Level II or higher certification(s)
  • 6+ years of experience with a Master's Degree
  • Technical expertise in microelectronics industry capabilities and/or manufacturing
  • Corporate knowledge and background on national defense industrial base (DIB) and policy issues
  • Experience involving trade and export control policies
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Risk Management
