About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Ground & Command and Control (C2) to lead our team in the development, implementation, and management of ground-based systems and C2 solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense and aerospace technology, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of integration activities for ground-based systems and C2 solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability and functionality.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive integration plans and strategies, leveraging ROS-M, RTK C4I, and other common integration architectures to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, software development, and systems integration teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement integration processes.
  • Oversee the development and testing of integrated systems and solutions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Manage the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to support integration projects and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the integration team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and business development teams, to ensure alignment of integration activities with project goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on integration methodologies, architectures, and best practices, providing guidance and support to project teams and senior leadership.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in integration and systems engineering, and leverage this knowledge to inform decision-making and drive innovation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industry, with a focus on ground-based systems, command and control (C2), and integration.
  • Deep expertise in integration methodologies and architectures, with specific experience working with ROS-M, RTK C4I, and other common integration frameworks.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading integration teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong technical background in systems engineering, software development, and systems integration, with a thorough understanding of defense acquisition processes and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends and challenges, and develop innovative solutions to address them.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
