Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join our Leadership University team based in Herndon, VA.

In this role you will support the management, communication and deployment of the Leadership University Americas (LUA) virtual and hybrid leadership and behavioral development programs as well as responsible for the Develop team data analytics (serving approx. 8,000 employees). You will ensure our customers have a positive experience throughout the lifecycle of their learning & development experience.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong team oriented individual, with the ability to work autonomously after training, and be curious to try out new approaches to support the People and Organization Development Team to which the LUA reports.

This assignment is located in Herndon, Virginia. Presence in the Washington DC office will be required when in person training activities are taking place.

You will be part of a team that works closely with our internal customers; Airbus employees, HR Business Partners and Managers, as well as our external facilitators, coaches and network of venues and catering services.

The Washington, D.C. metro area is home to multiple Airbus offices: In our nation's capital you will find the Airbus Experience Center, a collection of interactive, multimedia exhibitions highlighting the extensive role the company plays in the aviation, aerospace and defense industries in the U.S. and around the world. The D.C. area is also home to our regional corporate headquarters - located adjacent to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) - it makes flying in a breeze!

Your Challenges:

  • Organizing and Managing mentoring, coaching, co-development and team development requests.

  • Managing data analytics related to usage, experience, improvement of all Learning, Development and Talent Management activities.

  • Managing attendance by actively monitoring registration, sending updates to participants, and seeking to increase enrollments.

  • Developing, managing and reporting the results of feedback surveys.

  • Providing on-going support to virtual live classes as well as program participants by answering questions regarding registration, training record

  • Assisting with communications by producing graphic design deliverables in the form of: Google Slide presentations, infographics, and marketing materials.

  • Support in-person training programs when held at the Washington DC Airbus facility.


Your Boarding Pass:

  • 3+ years experience in HR with a passion for Learning and Development.

  • Experience in translating large amounts of data into meaningful outputs.

  • Internal Marketing & Communication experience desired

  • An ability to problem solve and to respond well to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Curiosity to understand the multiple dimensions of organizational challenges and opportunities, plus an ability to think independently with a high degree of self-motivation

  • Advanced use of Google suite of programs

  • LMS System experience a plus

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
