Job Description:

Apprio is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support one of our fully funded contracts in Baltimore, MD. The Business Analyst will assist in obtaining or obtains new business and/or expands existing accounts. Conducts research and analyzes customer needs and requirements. Develops marketing materials and manages promotional efforts related to trade shows and exhibits. Participates in new business meetings or proposal presentations. Conducts analysis of competitor products and services. Works closely with clients to obtain business and system level requirements by performing analysis and creating documentation to support the project and program goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates requirements gathering meetings and works with system stakeholders to define and document user requirements.
  • Arranges and manages user review sessions with various user groups.
  • Drafts and maintains system development life-cycle documents including feature statements, system and user requirements, and use cases.
  • Designs documents for multiple projects.
  • Conducts reviews of project documents including requirements, design and interface prototypes, user guides, and electronic training modules.
  • Develops case-management system definitions.
  • Stays abreast of project management and development initiatives and provides timely updates to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Prepares memoranda, brief articles, content for the internal employee web page, and other correspondence related to the case-management system.
  • Delivers presentations and manages discussions related to system needs and updates.
  • Coordinates and facilitates requirements gathering sessions and works with business owners and other stakeholders to define and document user requirements.
  • Serves as liaison between business owner and stakeholders and the development team.
  • Ensures the development team understands business processes by creating diagrams and supporting documentation, as needed.
  • Creates and reviews project documentation, including requirements, design and interface prototypes, user guides, and electronic training modules.
  • Stays on top of project management and development initiatives and provides timely updates to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Answers business/policy-related questions which require research and consultation with others internally and externally.
  • Performs and supports the testing process by activity participating in developing XLC/Agile related testing artifacts and performs product testing and multiple environments.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree

Certification Preferred: N/A

Required Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience
