Job Description

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Clinical Engineering Specialist - to join our - team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary: The Clinical Engineering Specialist is responsible for carrying out Medical Equipment Management Plan as directed by department manager. This will include, but is not limited to, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, other scheduled services, and related technical activities with no supervision, on medical equipment. Work closely with internal care departments to plan and coordinate projects related to key medical equipment. Maintain an electronic equipment inventory, parts inventory, and work order documentation System. Maintain an equipment conditions assessment of major medical equipment. Support other areas as appropriate.

Work Schedule: FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri, days.

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS Degree from an approved clinical engineering electronics program or approved electronics program.

Also acceptable: Clinical Engineering Military training with 4-years of service completed.

Minimum 7-years of experience in clinical engineering equipment, with at least 3-years in a Technician, Clinical Engineer III, or equivalent equipment position.

Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

10-years of experience in Clinical Engineering Equipment technical field support

4-year Engineering degree (Electrical, Computer or Clinical Engineering).

Specialized manufacturers training preferred.

CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.
