Summary: This position is based on the need for focus on technology, accurate employee data and operations in the Human Resources space with process improvement and accuracy at the forefront to support the organization. This role involves troubleshooting systems issues, identifying solutions, maintaining data integrity, and identifying ways to streamline processes to improve quality and effectiveness. The incumbent must be organized, resilient and flexible in response to a rapidly growing organization with changing business needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Budget
    • Partners with Senior Management on all aspects of the budget and act as liaison to Accounting/Finance.
    • Prepares quarterly reforecasts and tracks department expenses. Makes discretionary decisions under the guidance of Senior Management.
  • HR Operations
    • Manages all HR Operations functions under their responsibility following all applicable laws and policies. Proactively ensures we are reviewing new legislation coming down the pipeline to ensure compliance of those regulations.
    • Manages the posting and distribution and tracks acknowledgements of certain annual notices and policies to employees. (i.e., handbook, etc.)
    • Maintains and continues to develop the HR department intranet site under the direction of the approved department vision. Ensures it is kept up to date and accurate.
    • Manages employment verifications working with payroll to ensure accurate and timely completion following all applicable Company policies.
  • Onboarding and Employment
    • Manages the new hire and termination offboarding process coordinating with other HR and Supernus team members that orientation impacts.
    • Manages all employee change processing within the system, ensuring that the system is accurate for reporting, internal audit, and payroll.
    • Manages the completion of all required annual background checks and the background check process for new hires. Works with Senior HR Management on employment decisions based on background checks.
    • Manges the I-9 process and ensures work authorizations are current. Works with Senior HR Management on employment decisions based on work authorization status.
  • HRIS and Employee Data
    • Subject matter expert for the Company's HRIS, HRIS Reporting and all feeds in and out of the system and data management into other organizational systems.
    • Own and maintain employee data across various technology systems, making system changes and completing frequent audits to ensure information accuracy.
    • Partners with all stakeholders in employment data within the department to ensure accuracy.
    • Establish and lead operating processes and tools to support the HR function, including actively tracking trends and metrics.
  • Consistently works on process improvement within HR systems to support the organization in its growth and efficiency efforts.
  • Provides the needed training to meet end users need and ensure all updates and enhancements by 3rd party vendor are evaluated with internal HR and external organizational stakeholders.
  • Supports employee HRIS questions and being the point of contact and implementing resolution for all HRIS issues that arise. Monitor risks, actions, decisions and support workstream responsibilities.
  • Ensures all HRIS system access is appropriate and manages access within the system.
  • Proactively partners with Information Technology and other colleagues on feed files between the HRIS and their systems. Is the expert on the file transfers to support maintenance efforts on the transfers. This includes the HRIS and the system being provided information.
  • Performance Evaluation Administration:
    • Maintain the Performance Management system.
    • Takes direction of Senior Management when updating templates, etc.
    • Manages through the Performance review cycle in ensuring deadlines are met, etc.
    • Manages the bonus objectives process working with the HRBP's to ensure all employees have them within the system.
  • SOX Compliance: Manages and provides the response to ELC and IT audit requests for SOX-404 Compliance. Manages ADP Access Permissions and ensures quarterly controls are completed. Responsible for the compliance of these controls.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manages, coaches and mentor's junior generalists to ensure all projects are completed timely.

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources Projects as needed.

Knowledge and Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Graduate with 7+ years related experience; or BS degree with 5+ years related experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience within a corporate setting preferred.
  • Experience in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) with a focus on data structure, transformation, modeling, and reporting preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, initiatives targeted to Company aligned vision preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of employment law
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise good judgement when analyzing problems for resolution.
  • High degree of professionalism to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information, with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
