Geotechnical Engineer Team Leader

As the Geotechnical Engineer Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing geotechnical projects, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include providing technical expertise, conducting risk assessments, and fostering strong client relationships. With a focus on leadership, you will manage team resources efficiently, contribute to business development activities, and drive continuous training and development initiatives.


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manage professionals to complete geotechnical projects.
  • Lead in project management, business development, and various operational areas.
  • Develop proposals and reports or delegate within the group.
  • Efficiently utilize staff on projects for profitability goals.
  • Engage in cross-selling services, participate in Business Development, and build local client relationships.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
  • A Professional Engineer license in Alabama or be able to obtain an Alabama PE by reciprocity
  • The ability to travel to different project sites and offices within different states
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff, or the desire to learn
  • Experience and desire for business development activities
