About the Role:

You will be responsible to manage the site's overall quality management system and maintain ISO 9001 quality and FSSC 22000 food safety systems in addition to all Ferrero internal plant quality guidelines for the Somerset, NJ facility.

Main Responsibilities:

* Implement and lead the changes to convert Somerset from a co-packing site to the broader standard of a Ferrero Plant.
* Apply the Ferrero regional model for escalation, definition of priorities and strategic projects.
* Ensuring compliance of Somerset's plant with applicable food safety regulatory requirements (FDA).
* Implement and maintain certification schemes (FSSC22000 and ISO 9001), with Ferrero global Quality Requirements and Policies, and with Industry Best Practices.
* Implement and overview incoming controls of packaging.-.
* Perform internal audits and external audits of supporting warehouses and contract co- packers as needed.
* Ensure pest control is managed effectively by external PCO
* Managing and developing Quality staff
* Managing plant Quality budget
* Managing quality and food safety risks, product non-conformities, and issues daily
* Driving continuous improvement through management of CAPA
* Prepare monthly dashboard and presentation to the VPQ NAM and group leadership team of results and actions plans
* Prepare and manage a roadmap for identifying and tracking key projects and objectives for the year
* Implement projects and Action Plans for achieving objectives (KPIs)
* Manage quality inspections and support Operations with new products packed at Somerset
* Work with new product team as needed to perform quality inspections
* Ensure product traceability, lead mock recalls.

Who we are looking for:

* Bachelor's Degree in food science or related science discipline
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ISO 9001 and FSSC 2200 or related certifications, HACCP/Food Safety Plan, Food Defense, FSVP
* SAP knowledge and usage
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and SharePoint
* Strong, independent analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
* Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, willingness to learn
* Results-oriented, innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement, process-driven
* Must be able to work in a team environment and manage conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines
* Must be a self-starter
* Understanding of FDA regulations and GMPs for a food facility
