This position is within our Supply Chain Engineering practice, where we leverage rigorous analysis and innovative techniques to design, assess, model, simulate, measure, and improve supply chain performance and processes. LMI is seeking a Logistics Analyst who is interested in the intersection of supply chains, data analysis, and storytelling through visualizations. This position is in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate's primary responsibility will be working with a team of supply chain and data analytics professionals to assist an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) organization with collecting and delivering supply chain data to support decision making, including policy assessments. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively, creativity, ability to document processes, and the initiative to develop and improve workflow processes and visualizations to concisely convey key supply chain information and concepts to decision makers.

Responsibilities include:

    Review and propose policy updates in joint collaborative meetings relating to supply doctrine
  • Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise in supply chain data and its use in decision making
  • Rapidly identify and design visualizations that clearly and accurately convey complex supply chain information
  • Lead a team in developing intuitive and interactive dashboards and data visualization products
  • Maintain and improve visualization and data analysis skills to stay on top of the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and supply chain analytics
  • Documenting and providing recommendations to improve existing workflows and processes
  • Use critical thinking and creativity to quickly decompose problems and propose approaches to perform analyses and present results
  • Create and compile high quality recurring and ad hoc reports and deliverables for customers
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other related discipline
  • 4+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with logistics policy development and implementation
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization and data analytics tools (for example, Tableau, QlikSense, Microsoft PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts and common key performance indicators
  • Experience using visualizations and short concise point papers to convey complex topics for senior leaders
  • Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R
  • Good quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen.

Desired:

  • Experience within DoD Sustainment enterprise
  • Experience working on senior headquarter staffs
  • Experience with CATMS management
