Overview

Position: Temporary Associate
Department: Walton Personal Philanthropy Group
Location:Denver, Colorado
Hourly pay: 25-33/hour

Walton Enterprises is seeking a proactive, detail oriented, and execution-focused individual to provide temporary support to a fast-paced grants management team. The ideal candidate is creative in their approach to solving problems and can work independently.

About the Position
The Associate will provide at least 20 hours of support (ability to do more, as needed, will be a plus) per week for a period of three months.

What you will do
Assist members of the Grants Management team with the family members' philanthropy through grants management, expense processing and related budgeting and correspondence. Specific duties include:

Responsibilities
- Enter grant and contract details into grants management system (GMS)
- Verify any preconditions to payment have been met, including all banking information necessary to execute payment, ensuring that information is accurate and troubleshooting issues with internal and external contacts.
- Create and manage DocuSign envelopes requiring multiple contacts and levels of approvals
- Monitor status of documents and payments
- Draft correspondence using templates provided
- As needed, pull and organize data from GMS
- Assist with the creation of materials, from internal procedures and checklists to board approval packets.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned

Who we are looking for

Qualifications required for your success
- 3 years of full-time professional experience, preferably in a nonprofit office environment requiring interaction with both internal and external customers
- Highly proficient with various technology platforms - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Helpful Experience Includes
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of grants management software (ex. SmartSimple Amplify for Grantmakers, Salesforce, etc.) with the ability to work within multiple platforms
- Experience or exposure to working with different funding mechanisms (grants, contracts, loans, donor-advised funds, impact investments)
