SUMMARY

GT agent plays a vital role in interacting with our drivers and our customers. They manage driver delivery schedules to ensure pickup/deliveries remain on schedule, while providing exceptional customer service and always displaying professional communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage driver delivery schedules, pick-ups, and deliveries for a fleet of LTL drivers and trucks.
  • Schedules and communicates expectations to carriers. Including: pick up/delivery time schedules/location and on time expectations.
  • Effectively monitors Company yard utilization regarding assets: daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
  • Provides clean, consistent, and professional communication to internal and external customers.
  • Utilize various sources of communication for scheduling; including: internet, e-mail and company satellite phone system.
  • Actively accepts accountability for tracking and communicating appropriate information related to customer loads and resolves problems.
  • Provides coverage for co-workers when necessary or instructed by management.
  • Arrives promptly and prepared to perform duties effectively.
  • Audit all documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Familiar with Export and Import processes.
  • Familiar with D.O.T. regulations and hours of service.
  • Promotes the DSV Air & Sea brand.
  • Above all, leads by example, motivates, and supports co-workers, Integrates and promotes the Company Values into daily actions and interactions (Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork, Dedication, and Respect).

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, WORD & Outlook)

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, and verbal).

  • Intermediate

  • Position requires highly developed organizational and people skills.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with carriers, drivers, and internal personnel.
  • Requires the ability to solve problems, dispatch trucks, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple duties concurrently and maintain attention to detail.
  • Quality drive and results oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a "team player"
  • Working knowledge of material that the company handles, and the services offered.
  • Must have availability to work a variety of shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays if a business need requires.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Intermodal transportation experience a plus.
  • 2-3 years Logistic industry or distribution industry a plus.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $22.50 - $30.50/ Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
