Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and tests on tanks, pumps, valves and lines to determine operating condition and need for repair.
• Makes adjustments and minor repairs and replacements.
• Determines cause of system malfunctions and makes corrective repairs, replacements and installations to restore efficient operating condition.
• Reviews and prepares preventive and casualty maintenance reports and complete work order sheets to provide system maintenance history.
• Installs new plumbing and piping systems in compliance with building and sanitation codes.
• Responds to in-house service calls throughout the hospital.
• Monitors, maintains, repairs total building fire control system to ensure safe, effective operation.
• Performs other duties and provides assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of four-year apprenticeship program, preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in construction or maintenance, required.
• State license preferred.
• Journeyman designation preferred; Masters preferred.
• Acceptable driving record, a valid driver's license, and meet criteria for Mary Washington Healthcare's Driver Suitability, preferred
