Job Description

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the OES Program by working directly with the OES leadership team to onboard, train, and develop OES's. The OES Field Training Specialist can also provide training to other field-based personnel as appropriate.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or at least 2 certifications (CRCST, CCSVP, CST, or CER) or licensure required.
  • 5+ years' experience as an OES, and/or previous experience in Sterile Processing, Sales, or other Surgical Technology/Medical role
  • Previous training experience strongly preferred, specifically in a field setting.
  • Excellent communicator, highly collaborative, team oriented, advanced technical competence
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications with emphasis on Outlook and Excel
  • Travel required at least 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivers Service1 training content in the facilitation of the Service1 Training Program
  • Utilizing experience, train new OES's on site specific processes and procedures
  • Continuously develop and enhance field training offerings in collaboration with leadership team. Identifies gaps in training to improve educational offering and performance of team after assessment of service and client needs.
  • Work with various levels within new accounts to assist with developing and implementing the Scope of Service tool.
  • Utilizing the Scope of Service tool, travel to various new accounts within an assigned region to gather important data and ensure the new OES will be set up properly to continuously enhance the OES Training program.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participate with local Sales and Service team in Strikeforce customer assessments.
  • Assist with face-to-face client support, including Operating Room, Sterile Processing Department and Biomed as needed in assigned territory.
  • ID Daily maintenance issues. and management of the client's KARL STORZ devices and reports findings to management.
  • Maintain the instrument sets so they are always in excellent working order and ready for use; keep repairs and replacement equipment expenses within a predetermined budget for the account; preventative maintenance on all KARL STORZ devices; trouble shoot video and instrument issues in the Operating Room; inspection of the instruments and documentation of their functionality.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and designing workflows to improve efficiencies and reduce repair costs.
  • Tasks will vary depending on the agreement with the account and will generally include:
  • KARL STORZ video tower / system set-up and support:
    • Inspection, repair, troubleshooting and replacement of KARL STORZ devices.
    • Monitoring, reporting, and facilitating repair/ exchange transactions.
    • Transporting, cleaning/sterilization and packaging of KARL STORZ instruments after use.
