Kratos is seeking a Temp Buyer for procurement of Commercial items (COTS) ranging from MRO to large electro-mechanical requirements to cover a 4-month period only for the entire business range of needs. Must have buying experience in 1] DoD/Aerospace industry procurement (CPSR compliance) and 2] MRP for engineering-manufacturing environment. This is a very active and face paced environment with a small business mind set. Will utilize Approved Vendor List and MRP generated requirements to issue RFQ and process/award POs.

• Microsoft Office
• Highly developed organizational abilities for self-management, problem tracking and priority setting
• Excellent communication written and verbal , internal and external
• Negotiation skills while continuing effective vendor working relationships.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing interface with Purchasing.
• Strong analytical skills for 1] electrical components and 2] evaluating supplier bids including cost analyses.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Metal Fabrication buying helpful (read and understand the basics auto cad drawings / schematic drawings / technical specifications) not required
• NCMA or ISM membership / certification
• Demonstrated Cost and price analysis
• Advanced excel spreadsheet capabilities & related computer skills.
• Familiar with icredit-card only online purchase process, mirco threshold, FFTA reporting, SBA goals
• Deltek Costpoint helpful not necessary
