Duties, Responsibilities & Other
    Current BICSI RCDD Certification.
  • In-Building DAS / Wireless experience.
  • 5+ years' experience working with OSP and/or ISP cabling and cabling infrastructure preferred.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of TIA/EIA, BICSI, IEEE as they apply to installation of OSI Layer 1 infrastructure.
  • Provide technical design of systems for building projects including telecommunications, electronic security, audio-visual systems, and related technologies.
  • Ability to prepare and engineer drawings, specifications, reports, review technical documents.
  • Reviewing and designing in-building distribution antenna systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the DAS OEM or provider of installation and integration services.
  • Onsite analysis and commissioning using portable test equipment (signal generator, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
  • Ability to perform the installation of various telecommunications equipment in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide capacity enhancement solutions, enterprise and venue design support to offload network capacity analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree for accredited university is preferred. Other preferred qualifications include EIT or CMIT, PE or CCM, and Construction Quality Management.
  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience required.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
Performance Expectations
  • Complete Annual Individual Training Program
  • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
  • Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
  • Establish strong working relationship with client, contractors, and design engineers
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target
  • Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
  • Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
  • Assist in negotiating contractor change orders
  • Maintain document control for correspondence, RFIs, submittals, etc.
  • Oversee project schedule and budget
  • Prepare and analyze schedules
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Read plans and specifications and understand the construction contractor's means and methods
  • Solve construction problems in the field
  • Test, document, and assure quality of contractor's work
