Job Description

Visa Direct is a payment service that allows our clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers) to facilitate money movement between Cards, Bank Accounts and Wallets around the world using faster payments technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfers, Business to Consumer (e.g., gig economy payouts), funds disbursement (e.g., insurance claim disbursements), and more.

The Franchise Expansion Senior Manager is part of the Visa Direct and Money Movement global team and is a contributor to drive efforts for originating, structuring, and executing global strategic partnerships with the world's leading payment companies within the money movement space. Reporting to the Head of the Franchise Expansion, this role will work closely with several functions like Visa Direct Sales and Product Innovation, to support deals that are strategic, and cross-functional in nature.

Additionally, he/she will contribute to the pipeline development and management, evaluation, and execution of inorganic and commercial partnerships with companies that are well positioned for potential investment. The role will operate globally, covering each of Visa's key regions including North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify investment trends and opportunities related for Money Movement
  • Gather information on the target companies, researching potential competitors, evaluating the target company's technology, assessing potential synergies or overlaps with existing Visa capabilities, etc.
  • Support pipeline development, management andexecution to help drive the roadmap for FinTech's portfolio companies that operate in the Money Movement space
  • Focus on driving commercial engagements with high potential companies within the money movement space. Particular focus on growing payment/endpoint credentials, accelerating cross-border, increasing market penetration for Visa Direct and improving product capabilities.
  • Set up an effective monitoring process to ensure the Franchise Expansion can track commercial progress of companies sent to sales that have a potential inorganic opportunity
  • Develop a regular pipeline management report for the senior leadership to generate awareness, engagement and collaboration
  • Work closely with the Money Movement regional teams to better understand their market challenges and discuss opportunities.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
* 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
* 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
* BA/BS required. Post Graduate degree in Business Administration or related fields strongly
preferred
* Minimum 7 years of experience in internal or external consulting roles
* Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
* Expert level PowerPoint and advanced level Excel skills
* Critical thinker, strong organization skills, highly engaged and detail oriented
* Knowledge or expertise is strongly preferred
* Experience in executing consulting projects focused on market research and business assessments
* Knowledge in global money movement payment flows across payment types (card, account, wallet)
* Skilled in the knowledge of various payment technologies and trends in new payment globally
* Strong team player, self-motivated and able to work independently, strategic thinker
* Ability to navigate in a highly matrixed global organization and drive results, ensuring that
milestones are adhered to and risks to the project are called out early
* Process oriented, with a high attention to detail and quality on both internal and external work
* Hands-on, entrepreneurial, and nimble, while also able to navigate a globally matrixed environment

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is$118,200 to $192,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
