Yoh has an immediate need for a Senior Software Performance Engineer. This is a 1 year assignment

Remote to start but needs to be local to San Diego office.

Pay up to $97 per hour w2 based on experience.

This key role will help implement the technology transformation of the network services platform, which includes existing and new services supporting the dramatic customer growth on the platform.

The individual will implement rigorous best practices for measuring, understanding, predicting, and improving the performance of our ecommerce, media, and entertainment platform. The candidate will also implement quality engineering best practices. The position requires partnering across Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Hosting and Operations. Position requires hands-on technical expertise coupled with ingenuity, ecommerce platform domain expertise, associated technology product knowledge, industry knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Candidate is expected to work with globally distributed teams to engage early and provide continuous delivery of high-quality software products that delight customers. Must be a results-oriented individual with a passion to deliver quality next generation global media and entertainment services to our growing customer base.

* Performs a key role in the evolution of the performance, load, stress, and resiliency testing strategy, applying industry standard best practices and implementation to enable highly available, active-active, extensible services for the platform.

* Plays a senior role in end-to-end quality, working closely with engineering, product management and operations.

• Works cross-functionally with Product and Operations teams to define workflows and performance requirements. Develops test scripts and scenarios to these requirements.
  
  * Works with the product owners and other team members across the enterprise to drive quality initiatives.
  
  * Participates in product roadmap discussions and identify key areas for improvement in the product and incorporates these goals into ongoing & future development initiatives.
  
  Qualifications
  * BS or MS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  
  * 5+ years of experience in software development, expert level of programming, design, and end-to-end system analysis.
  
  * Experience executing performance testing and/or development efforts for a complex, high throughput system.
  
  * Track record in monitoring and analyzing system performance, isolating issues or bottlenecks that could impact reliability, performance and scalability.
  
  * Hands on experience with performance testing tools and frameworks (JMeter, Akamai CloudTest, LoadRunner, Gatling, Blazemeter).
  
  * Experience delivering high performance, active-active, linearly scalable services (Microservices, Web Services, Big Data, NoSQL)
  
  * Extensive experience with agile development methodologies and test-driven development processes required.

• Experience with Cloud computing platforms (AWS) and infrastructure as code.
  Must possess the drive and passion for quality with the ability to inspire, excite and motivate other team members.
  
  * Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with others at all levels, effective at working with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams.

• Python programming experience is a plus.
