We are looking for a Acute Care Rehab Therapist 4. Willing to interview a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist as long as you have 5 years of acute care experience.

As a full time Rehab Therapist you will perform in a lead/supervisory capacity over staff therapists, advanced therapists, and therapy aides assuring the delivery of therapy services in accordance with the principles and practices of the rehabilitation therapies. Responsible for a specific departmental program, such as, education or quality assurance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapyrequired.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist orOccupational Therapistwith the State of Maryland is required.
  • Five years full time experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist orOccupational Therapistis required. Acute care experience required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapytechniques and practices is required. Knowledge within the particular area of specialty is preferred.
  • Ability to oversee and direct the work of therapy personnel, assign work priorities, audit work quality, orient and train, and implement corrective action, appropriately, with little direction.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient populations(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs.
