Kickstartis a recovery-oriented program with a diverse clinical team specially trained to educate the community, treat youth and assist families in preventing psychosis. We serve young people ages 10 to 25 (Medi-cal eligible and no insurance), their families, and their social networks to build support around the youth and promote success in relationships, education and employment. Kickstart strives to keep hope alive through education and early intervention.
Pay:$76,707 annually

About your role:
Summary:
Provides Occupational Therapist (OT) services for behavioral health clients assigned to program which include main program site, outreach offices and home visits. Provides individual and group interventions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Lead and co-lead occupation-based, client-centered groups.
Provide meaningful, therapeutic individual OT interventions.
Document OT intervention(s) and communication according to program standards, practices and contractual requirements in a timely manner.
Collaboration with counselors/therapists regarding client challenges, progress and goals.
Complete OT evaluations, while meeting required deadlines.
Provide education and presentations for staff members and clients.
Participate in OT groups, individual sessions, family sessions, staff and team meetings as directed.
Attend mandatory staff meetings as well as scheduled meetings with Program Director.
Participate in OT program development and other related duties such as ordering supplies, creating documents, researching OT education and topics, office organization and maintenance.
Demonstrate judgment and safety at all times.
Transport clients to accommodate community relationships. Use of personal car or vehicle is required.
Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards and professional boundaries with all staff and clients.
Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program and/or the company.

Works under direct supervision.

Education/Licensing Requirements Education and/or Experience
Masters degree from accredited school in OT; current, Bachelors degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Licensed by State (CBOT); Registered (NBCOT) Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
Proof of: valid California drivers license and auto insurance, as well as proof of education are required. Prior behavioral health experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Graduate from accredited school and passed Certification and Licensure examinations.
Able to create and manage OT program independently and provide outcome statistics.
Basic level PC skills required.
Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills and communication skills are a must.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
Physical Requirements
Office Environment (not remote position). Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking.
May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Requires significant use of computer, tablet, phone and/or general office equipment.
Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects.
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
Will require off-site meeting, county and/or client needs.
Will use personal car or vehicle as required for travel and/or transportation.
Will travel for meetings, training, etc. as needed. However, not remote position.
