Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Test subject matter expert to Provide resources with knowledge and experience in designing, planning, coordinating, executing and analyzing V&V, test and evaluation programs. Includes developing V&V and T&E strategies and documentation (e.g. TEMPs) to V&V armament systems against performance requirements at Eglin AFB, FL. May also require experience in munitions handling, loading, storage checkout, transportation and electronic combat/weapon/aircraft compatibility issues, and statistical methods/DOEs. Verification tasks including analysis of resultant weapons fly-out data to analyze accuracy of M&S results.

The U.S. Air Force is developing a new LRSO nuclear missile. The service plans to field the LRSO by 2030 to replace the current, General Dynamics (now Raytheon) AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) that originally entered service in 1991. In May 2021, the Air Force awarded an Engineering and Manufacturing Design (EMD) contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops advanced weapon test programs.
  • Leads the design and building of test stations.
  • Writes advanced highly complex test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability.
  • Evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Develops advanced highly complex test simulations
Job Requirements

  • Must have Masters Degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Must have at least 20 or more years in testing of flying/munition systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance. Must maintain clearance at required level.
  • Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be familiar with DoD Acquisition processes or project management professional principles.
  • Must have advanced programs experience.
