That's why we're looking for a dynamic Document Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative support to join our firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

  • Responsible for providing high level document support for high level partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights practice
  • Managing document creation, editing and overall production for practice specific matters, to include accurate editing from handwritten notes (cursive and print), extensive blackline comparisons of documents, advanced formatting, cross-referencing, Styles, Table of Contents creation and manipulations
  • Preparing routine and non-routine client specific documentation to include correspondence, legal documents, forms, presentations and the like using advanced technical skills related to word processing and other practice-specific software platforms
  • Efficiently proofreading and editing correspondence, legal documents, and reports for content, grammar, typos, formatting, and embedded styles
  • Effectively establishing and maintaining well-organized files in electronic and hard copy formats; establishing/maintaining consistent naming conventions
  • Supporting, acting as back-up, and providing overflow assistance to the Practice Coordinator and other Legal Administrative Assistants. Additional duties include but aren't limited to calendar and email maintenance, coordinating travel, meeting, and/or events, etc.

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • Minimum of three (3) years prior relevant work experience within a law firm or professional services environment is required
  • Prior experience working within a Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights, or transactional practice group is preferred
  • Requires intermediate to advanced-level knowledge of MS-Office including advanced use of MS Word (redlining, comparing documents, advanced formatting, TOA creation and manipulation, and insertion of hyperlinks)
  • Ability to draft routine correspondence, perform non-complex arithmetic calculations, and organize and maintain record keeping and filing systems
