The Role:
As a metal spinner you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to the spin forming of domes, cones and other metallic forms. You will work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to provide input to help improve the quality of the Spin forming product and processes.
Pay Range: $25-$35 per hour
Responsibilities:
Work directly with production team to deliver on-time product while meeting labor, cost, and quality targets.
Perform the assembly and verification of spin tool set-ups.
Check parts for planning and drawing verification.
Perform Power spinning and CNC metal spin forming.
Use manual torches for the spin forming process
Learn, as required, and perform CNC programming for the CNC spin machine.
Identify and eliminate process wastes and continuously improve the spinning processes.
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
A demonstrated ability to perform manual Power spinning and/or computer numerical control CNC lathes is required.
Experience with Aerospace materials and hot spinning.
High school diploma, GED, or Degree.
Ability to use measuring devices and templates to check dimensions and profiles as required.
Ability to accurately follow planning, read blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
It's also beneficial to have the following:
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant spin forming experience.
Experience operating Leifeld or MJC spinning machines.
Experience with SpinCAD or similar software
Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long hours (majority of the shift).
Must be comfortable working around high temperatures.
Must be able to safely handle hot, large, and heavy parts.
Must be willing to work long hours and weekends as necessary.
Must be willing to train in other areas.
Must be willing to train and be trained in spin forming.
