Electro-Optical/Infra-red Weapons/Sensors Technician (SCA Eng. Tech II) - Requisition ID 035293

Description
The Electro-Optical /Infra-red (EOIR) Weapons/Sensors Technician will provide support to the weapons system integration (WSI) and Electro-Optical /Infra-red Flight Test Engineers (FTE) and responsible System Integration Engineers (SIE) requiring EOIR assets while integrating and testing active Smart Weapons Systems.
Duties entail maintaining a detailed log of all repair actions taken, providing optimal support of the flight test schedule utilizing available Forward- Looking Infra-red (FLIR) assets, and the setup and maintenance of support equipment ,along with, EOIR assets as necessary for integrated POD operation. Other duties include providing setup and maintenance support for hardware in the loop (HWIL) and mission computer laboratories.
** This is an SCA (Service Contract Act) eligible position**
Qualifications
**Applicants selected for this position will require an active DoD Secret clearance. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.**
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four years experience in the field of aviation electronics and familiarity of the navy aviation maintenance program.
Microsoft Office computer application utilization skills and report writing skills are important considerations to candidates applying for this position.
Additionally, the employee must be amenable to flexible shift work.
