Why We Exist
At the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas, we believe that for the marine industry to thrive, the companies that interact with the boater in their community must thrive. Those businesses determine the boater’s experience and are the leading factor in the industry’s success. The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas works to create a strong and healthy boating industry by uniting those businesses, providing them with opportunities for improvement and growth, and representing them with a powerful voice.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to be the single voice of marine retailers, providing member services that include: fostering and uniting relationships; raising awareness and professionalism; protecting common interests and strengthening all members.
The MRAA has been looking out for the best interests of marine retailers and the boating public since 1972. The association is comprised of boat dealers, marine parts and accessories vendors, marina operators, boatyards, marine service providers, and all those whose livelihood is affected by the marine industry. MRAA is the definitive resource for marine retailers to stay informed on what is happening in the marine industry and help them grow and prosper in their operations. The MRAA Board of Directors is made up of active marine retailers who understand that in the marine business, change can occur very quickly, and they work hard to put the interest of marine retailers first in an effort to better the industry for us all. This is well outlined through our Mission and Values statements.
The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas enjoys the membership and support of not only marine retailers, but also many Associate and Partner Members who offer products and programs that help retailers continuously improve their businesses. Through MRAA membership, Retail, Associate and Partner Members gain access to the community of fellow members, a voice in Washington, D.C., and many programs, services, and products specifically tailored to our industry.
