Company OverviewNo Guard is closer to the heart of America than the District of Columbia Army National Guard. The D.C. Guard is the only Guard unit activated by the president, not a governor, for natural and civil emergencies. They've been defending the nation's capital for hundreds of years, originally organized as the First Legion, Columbian Brigade.
