Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute to our Software Development Services team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing to create and maintain applications, frameworks, and software components. Additionally, the candidate should possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in utilizing Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to enhance developer productivity and streamline the software development process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conception, specification, design, and development of complex software applications, frameworks, and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and architect solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Utilize advanced Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to efficiently develop, edit, and debug software code, while leveraging built-in capabilities for testing, building, and packaging.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices to optimize code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption to enhance our software development practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing.
  • Extensive experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), with proficiency in tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, or Eclipse.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar.
  • In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.

 

Target salary range: $123,000 - $219,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
