Job Description

Duration: 6+ months Contract

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)

Job Description:

  • Candidate reports to the Statewide Bridge Administrator.
  • The Community Programs Manager oversees the Mobile Bridge team, Encampment teams, and Community Case Management staff in all three counties who are mostly comprised of Peer Support
    Specialists.
  • The Community Program Manager ensures that teams work collaboratively and follow safety protocols as they provide community outreach with emphasis on the unhoused and individuals in encampments who suffer from substance use and/or cooccurring disorders.
  • The Community Program Manager organizes and manages calendar of community events where Bridge/Mobile
    Bridge staff represent DSAMH and its programs by providing information to community partners.
  • Community Program Manager's work involves developing solutions to problems, deciding on a course of action, and making recommendations to management.
    Incumbent oversees and ensures the efficiency of programs; instructs and provides guidance to staff to promote client-centered and
    appropriate services
  • Oversee and participate in monitoring Mobile Bridge, Encampment, and Case Management services.
  • Supervise staff who arrange both internal and external events representing the Department/Division. Interview staff, observe work processes
    and gather data relating to operational and managerial practices and procedures for use in evaluating services provided and/or
    determining compliance to goals and objectives. Plan, assign, and review the work of subordinate staff. Arrange training for staff
    members as determined needed and appropriate.
  • Enforce service expectations of assigned staff through employee monitoring,
    appraisals, and coaching as needed. Maintains records of staff's daily/weekly reports and coalesces information into weekly
    summary as requested.
Essential Functions:
  • Provides recovery-oriented peer services, skill-building, ethical problem solving, and optimizing of professional growth with Bridge clients.
  • Thoroughly understands the job responsibilities of Bridge CPRS including peer documentation requirements.
  • Coordinates patient intakes with other CPRS in a rotating fashion.
  • Reviews the service notes/documentation with the CPRS for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate content.
  • Assists the CPRS with documentation, training needs and problem resolution as needed.
  • Conduct both administrative, task-oriented supervision and reflective/consultative supervision of Bridge CPRSs. Administrative supervision focuses on organizational efficiency, with all the necessary attention on performance measures, required tasks and urgent deadlines. Consultative supervision focuses on the professional development of the CPRS, along with rapport with clients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide effective supervision, model behavior and ethics for the CPRS.
Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Have valid driver's license.
  • Have basic computer competence in Microsoft Office products; experience working with EMH/EHR preferred.
  • Have High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • Certified Peer Supervisor with experience in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders strongly desirable.
  • Has one or more years supervisory experience: knowledgeable of staff performance evaluation techniques and progressive discipline.
  • Willing to work in a field setting and be open to traveling statewide as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of case management policies and procedures and HIPAA requirements. and HIPAA laws
